Bargain Hunting Lifts Shares

The Bel-20 Index of leading Belgian shares gained 5.16 points to 11719.47 points on thin volume of 1.1 billion Belgian francs. Chemical company Solvay was the day's volume leader, falling 25 francs to 17,800. Hard on its heels was shipper CMB which last week announced an interim dividend of 200 Belgian francs. It's stock climbed 25 to 2,460 francs.
