May 04, 2011
The Stock Exchange of Thailand Index slid 4.32 to 1090.71 on volume of about 41.7 million shares valued at 2.74 billion baht. Decliners outnumbered advancers 202 to 105. The SET 50 index, which reflects the 50 best-capitalized stocks, shed 0.32 to 83.23. Analysts attributed Thursday's decline to profit-taking following the key index's surge Wednesday. The finance subindex slid 1.1%. Bangkok Bank dropped 2 baht to 210, Finance One lost 2 baht to 108 and Dhana Siam Finance & Securities shed 1 baht to 114.
