Americas Stock End Mixed; Mexican Shares Post Gains

Mexican stock prices rose following Wall Street's lead after sinking by more than 100 points in afternoon trading. Canadian shares fell after failing to keep pace with an incredible turnaround in New York. In Argentina, share prices declined, while Brazilian stocks declined. In dollar terms, the Americas sector of the Dow Jones World Stock Index fell 1.58 to 145.41 Tuesday, after stumbling 3.79 Monday. The world index as a whole lost 0.79 to 134.29, after dropping 1.76 Monday.
