Americas Stocks End Mixed; Mexico Rises After Sell-Off

Mexican stock prices rose as buyers continued to jump into the market after the sharp sell-off earlier this week. Canadian shares posted a modest gain on a rebound in the technology sector. Brazil stocks fell on profit-taking. In Argentina, shares rose on a rebound in U.S. stock markets. In dollar terms, the Americas sector of the Dow Jones World Stock Index rose 1.50 to 148.03 Wednesday, after falling 0.46 Tuesday. The world index as a whole advanced 0.93 to 135.37, after dropping 0.64 the previous day.
